Joyce dabbled in various sports as a kid, but was plagued by bad eating habits and terrible athleticism. Her athletic endeavors never amounted to anything more than a glorified bench warmer.
Fast forward twenty plus years; Joyce met Cindy who introduced her to CrossFit. She immediately became hooked. CrossFit has, without a doubt, brought on blood, sweat and tears, yet Coach Joyce is always thinking about the next chance to work her endurance a little harder, try like hell to be patient with her kipping pullups, and to continue on her path to a better eating lifestyle. Joyce likes to sum up her philosphy as, “I may not be the best, but at least I know what I have to do to get better.”
Joyce holds the CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certification, the CrossFit Mobility Certification, and the CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting Certification.
